where WCDEM took place in May 2001. Situated in Lyon on the eastern bank of the Rhone.
As a member of swedish disaster medicine organization I was informed of where to go in the World: Received invitations to WCDEM in following cities and times:

1989 Hong Kong, China - didn't know about the possibility to take part.
1991 Montreal, Canada...too well known - with SAL our first port after North Atlantic crossings.
1995 Jerusalem, Israel...too well known - With UN and SOL. on border and ports.
1999 Osaka, Japan...far away but very interesting country.
2003 Melbourne, Australia.. far away - "Just around the corner" 24 hours in Boeing 747
2005 Edinburgh, United Kingdom...too expensive but an interesting city.
2007 Amsterdam, Holland...Retired.
2009 Victoria, Canada...Retired, British Columbia is like my home landscape.
2011 Beijing, China...far away and too expensive for a Retired - and Who care??.

Equipments for a succeful participation in congress activities:
* Map including bus- and tram lines.
* Congres scheldue What, Where and When ..!
* French dictionay - (= local language) to cope with the daily need for living.
* Receiver for keep in touch with an adequate simultan - interpreted language.
  The official congress languages = English, French and Spanish.
* Periodical distributed by World Association of Emergency (WAEDM) presenting all the   abstracts and actual projects from WCDEM 2001.
* Pen and Paper for my notifications on what of value to take home...-   Paper and Pen is still    working...!!! Power Point is rather tricky because of different standard in cable connector    plugs - be sure by back up with standard Overhead pictures...!!

In page 74 is the first part of my poster that year.

My project is a computer program describing what can happen related to an real air accident (Kegworth). By "interpolation" of the number of passengers and their injury panorama the program calculates and prints an injury description card in relation to the stated number of passengers.
It will save a lot of time for those in charge of administration of the triage training.
